Last weekend, Mike and I ventured out to Central Park in Frisco to do a photo shoot for a family looking to create a timeless anniversary gift for the grandparents’ 50th (fifty years! wow) wedding anniversary. Julie and her sister Jennifer wanted this year’s gift to their parents to be a bit more extraordinary, so they did the right thing by planning this special day. The sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. I used the sun to my advantage in a lot of the photos and of course, as per usual Sarah style, I used my extra light to make the portraits in the shade look a little more awesome.
Since the weather last weekend was near perfect, (65 degrees and no wind) the family was super comfortable in their attire. The Dallas/Fort Worth area saw some pretty frigid 20-30 degree weather starting Tuesday lasting throughout the week. We were super fortunate to have beaten the impending cold front.
I had a lot of fun doing this family’s shoot especially because there were five people. I had the opportunity to do a lot of different variations of groups. Being creative with different breakdowns of who to pose together is my favorite part of a photo shoot. Julie’s boys were especially fun because they both have killer smiles and were not camera shy at ALL. For anyone doubtful of doing a wintertime Texas photo shoot: it’s totally doable!
