Working with Sarah

Working with me:

When you hire me for a pet portrait session, I’ll speak with you over the phone (or in person over coffee) about what you’ll be having me capture during our shoot.  Take this time to tell me a little bit about yourself and your pet.  I want to know what about your best friend makes you giggle when you’re having the worst day.  I want to know your favorite thing to do with your pet.  I want to know about every silly little thing you do with your pet that leaves you filled with joy.

We will set up a time and place most comfortable for you and your pet, whether it be at home in the study on your cat’s favorite chair at that perfect time of day where she’s relaxed and gazing out the window, or the park where your dog lets loose and catches a ball over and over and over.  Wherever it is, I make your location my studio.

Before I even start shooting, I’ll spend a bit of quality time with your pet.  A little bonding goes a long way when I get behind my camera.

I’ll spend my time with you and your friend capturing creative, timeless photos.  Whether it takes an hour or three, I’ll be sure to capture the essence of your pet.

Once we’re done, I’ll then take your images home and sprinkle them with a little bit of magic dust.  This takes about two weeks.  When I’ve completed your album, I’ll call you to set up our next meeting.  This meeting is the really best part: you get to see your pictures and turn them into tangible wall art!  We will spend that time talking about your favorite ones and what you’d like to do with them.  I will help you through the whole process, keeping it as easy and fun as possible.  At this time, all leftover payment will be due in full.
