About

Being a veterinarian was what I envisioned for myself as a child.  Ever since I was able to talk, I knew I wanted to work with pets for the rest of my life.  By the time I hit middle school, I knew being a doctor would not cut it.  I was terrible at math and science, but very talented with anything art related; especially a camera.

From the age of fifteen, I started having friends and family commission photographs from me.  That’s when I knew my distinct calling in life.

My extensive knowledge about dogs came from several things: growing up with them, working for a dog trainer for two years, and my mother owning a dog grooming salon.  I started grooming in my late teens and used the experience from the dog training school and applied it to working with dogs every day.  In between grooming dogs and school, I worked at a portrait studio for two years.  I soaked up all that information like a sponge and began to hone my skills as a professional photographer.

Fast forward: I’ve been a professional photographer now for two years.  I could not be happier with my career decision.  Capturing pets and their people’s emotion are what I live for.  I love portraits.  Portraits of pets, portraits of families, portraits of pets with their families, you name it, I’ve done it and I’m so happy to share that with you.

In August 2012, my fiancé and I moved from the Philadelphia metro area to the DFW metro area.  This is a change for our future and I’m excited to be doing it with the man I’m going to marry.  I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have not only a partner but a partner who supports me in my business and doubles as my assistant.  He’s great at working the equipment and a fantastic candid shot catcher.  The two of us together at a wedding or event make a powerful team.

Random fact:  I love laser tag and usually pull the highest scores for my team.  It’s a great de-stressing activity for a friday night.
